[ECE PhiBar] Impromptu gathering this Saturday...'cause Katie's coming to town!

Jesse and Heer,

Although your participation last year was solid. I would not go far enough
to call you founding members. However, I would place you both on the ECE
Phi Bar Board of Directors, which is much more of a permanent position and
noteworthy on any resume. Please let me know which jobs you are applying
for that are looking for happy hour organizer experience. I will need to
apply to those as well.

We do need to give credit where due to the Physics students. After all,
they started the Phi Bar tradition, but it was the ECEs that perfected it.

-Doug

Yes, I would like to know too whether I can claim founding member of ECE
PhiBar as a member from the very beginning.. For resume purposes

I'd like to point out that the Physics people weren't awesome enough to
actually schedule ECE PhiBar at the same time as you...

Also, is it reasonable to claim founding member status if you were there the
first year, even if you had nothing to do with the planning or organization
of it? I need to know for resume purposes.

Katie,
It's true, Doug and Eric can definitely claim "Founder" status.
However, just to set the record straight (yet again), I'd like to
point out that Doug and Eric were inspired to start the ECE PhiBar
after having attended the Physics PhiBar Phriday. They saw how
awesome the physics people were and just wanted to imitate. On the
other hand, they might have just been so fed up with our geeky
conversations about physics that they wanted to start their own event.

The World may never know.
