[Disksim-users] Details for G4 layout IDX

I'm trying to create a model for a new hard drive, but I can't figure
out the dm_layout_g4.IDX parameter.  The documentation is far too
short.  Does someone have a good explanation for how this works?  Even
better, is anyone aware of a tool to automatically extract this from a
disk and generate the parameters?  I've looked at DIXtrac, but it says
it doesn't work with serpentine drives.  It also can't deal with the
fact that the disk refuses to report how many cylinders or heads it
has.  I have output from DIG, but I don't know how to convert it for
DiskSim.
