2.1.24rc1 creating 2.0.24 files

Hello,

After configuring and running make on source from package
cyrus-sasl-2.1.24rc1.tar.gz I get this:

./lib/.libs/libsasl2.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libanonymous.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/liblogin.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libotp.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libdigestmd5.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libcrammd5.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libsasldb.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libsql.so.2.0.24
./plugins/.libs/libplain.so.2.0.24


As you can see files named *2.0.24 are created instead of 2.1.24. Is
this the expected behavior? In include/sasl.h I see #define
SASL_VERSION_MINOR 1, which is right though. What am I missing?
