Could you include the contents of your /usr/lib/sasl2/Sendmail.conf file (or
where ever your Sendmail reads its sasl configuration from)?

Please verify you have configured Sendmail per these instructions (or the
instructions for your version of Sendmail):
http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/auth.html
If you're using packaged SASL binaries for your system, verify that you
have installed the packages which contain your desired authentication mechs
(e.g. libsasl2-modules).
If you have 'pluginviewer' available on your system, it will verify that
you have them installed.
