Cyrus SASL-2.1.23 not working on HP-UX

Hi,

I was trying to build cyrus sasl-2.1.23 for HP-UX platform.

But when i set the password for a cyrus user it is not updating the
corresponding file.

Below is the logs for the issue:

$ ./saslpasswd2 -f /home/matty/saslabc abc12
Password:
Again (for verification):
$ ll /home/matty/saslabc
/home/matty/saslabc not found

Iam using a HP-UX 11iV2 machine.

Can you please help me with this.
