In this case your saslauthd not work for sendmail. You can stop him,
if no another software, needed saslauthd.

Look /usr/local/share/doc/cyrus-sasl2/html/options.html
No "passwd" mechanism present for pwcheck_method. Possible, you are
need "pwcheck".
But, plz, read
/usr/local/share/doc/cyrus-sasl2/html/{sysadmin,upgrading}.html
