Building Cyrus SASL with a new plugin

Hi,

I am coding a new mechanism plugin for Cyrus SASL.
The plugin file is mymethod.c. I want my plugin 
to be built along with another plugins, by doing:

./configure --enable-mymethod && make

I am not familiar with GNU autotools, 
so I ask you to help me to solve this problem. 

Any hints, pointers and descriptions will be 
highly appreciated :-).
