What a great meeting: a new face came along, and some older friends
we haven't seen in a while because timezones and work commitments get
in the way.
Attendees: Jan, Ellie, Bron, Robert, Ken, Michael, Nicola, Ricardo, Nic B
Next meeting: we're keeping the new time for a while as it's kinder to
our friends in America.

Ken (at CalConnect):
- VPOLL demo nearly done, with Mike
- Next up: new sync client format

Robert:
- JSCalendar draft officially adopted by CALEXT working group. Hopefully
settled in the next few weeks, depending on feedback on draft. RFC
number assigned... soon?!- Implementation in Cyrus not quite up to date to the latest JSCalendar
draft, but it is complete.- Investigation on performance on imap APPEND for large mailboxes.
- SMTP rewrite is on master (development). Needs testing and eyeballs
before we let it near production/release status.- JMAP rewrite continues now that the jmap core spec has settled:
refactoring to remove redundancy. Aiming to have it done by mid-end
March so it lines up with IETF in March for stabilisation.
Ellie:
- Focussing on issues and GitHub PRs
- Will put out the latest SASL release candidate later today

Nic B:
- Clarifying documentation relating to Xapian searches

Bron:
- V14 Cyrus index header updates: count of unseen messages in a mailbox
now stored in the header. (Counts of other kinds of messages are being
stored, but not unseen for the owner) so this is now stored in the
header to improve performance. This is in master (3.1) and will go
into FastMail production shortly. Requires manual reconstruct -V to
upgrade mailbox formats to make use of the new functionality. This is
unlikely to be backported to Cyrus v3.0- New Cyrus 3.2 stable 'soon' once JMAP is stabilised which will take in
the v14 header changes.- Hoping that JMAP will be stable in March at the next IETF in London.
Some work to be done around fetching headers, particularly those that
aren't specified in RFCs and whether they're encoded in particular
formats or not (decode all to UTF8 or back to raw bites or... ?)
Discussion around body parts of email: presenting the body in useful
  ways to clients.
Jan:
- Maintaining sasl for oracle and appliances
- Got SASL RC3 to compile
- In security products subgroup for Solaris: she maintains 20+ things of
which SASL is one.- Discussion around handling security exploits

Michael
- Replacing Dovecot with Cyrus, trying to set up SASL for authentication
and seeking help.- Will mail some details to the cyrus-sasl list
- Looking at Cyrus after mail delivery with Outlook clients is slow.

Ricardo:
- Has the FastMail team looking at building out JMAP tests once things
  settle a little more.
