usenet

excerpted from my /etc/cyrus/cyrus.conf file:

   # these are only necessary if receiving/exporting usenet via NNTP
   # nntp cmd="nntpd" listen="nntp" prefork=0
   # nntps cmd="nntpd -s" listen="nntps" prefork=0

I wonder if it's finally time to trim all the usenet/news cruft out of
cyrus?

Are all the old-timers willing to let go, or is this a backup plan just
in case Skynet actually happens and takes over google?
