Speaking of coding, no one ever responded to the lib/map_stupidshared.c
thing. Is this file really necessary in the modern code base? Is
anyone really still running DEC machines?? I ask because there's a
debian patch for it which I'll need to deal with if the answer is yes.

Maybe it's time to tell those DEC users to upgrade to an i386 or
something? You can get them at Goodwill for $20 or so....
