Hello,
I'm new to the list and am looking for a recommendation
on where to post a question about a crash I seeing with
imapd.
I'm going to include the info I have, if this is not the correct
info or the correct place, please kindly point out what I'm
missing or where I should post. Thanks.
db4-4.3.29-9.fc6
cyrus-imapd-2.3.7-2.el5
kernel-2.6.18-92.1.22.el5
running on CentOS 5.2
I'm running cyrus-imapd inside a VirtualBox VM that gets
its disk via ISCSI.
I see the imapd processes die in the 10's producing
core files that have the following stack trace.
Core was generated by `imapd -s'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
[New process 27178]
#0 index_searchmsg (substr=0x96612c0 "statistics", pat=0x964cd70,

When I searched http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/archive/search.php?mailbox=archive.cyrus-devel
for index_searchmsg, it only comes up with two hits for a patch by
Bron Gondwana <brong at fastmail.fm> from March.
Is the above a known issue? If so, is there any sort of work around or
resource I can change to alleviate the issue? Otherwise can someone in the
know give me a rough idea of where in the life-cycle of the imapd process
this code path might be executed so I can start to dig into the issue
myself.
Thank you in advance.
