Hi,

Thanks for the Imap help. Now I am facing problem in authentication, I am
not able to authenticate in cyrus Imap.

following are the configurations:

1. Compiled "Berkley Db" version '3.2.9' with following configuration
   options

   ../dist/configure --prefix=/usr/local --enable-compat185 --enable-

   cxx --enable-dump185 --enable-dynamic --enable-shared

2. Compiled "cyrus-sasl-2.1.21" with following configuration options

   ./configure --with-dbpath=/etc/sasldb2 --with-bdb-libdir=/usr/local/
   lib/ --with-bdb-incdir=/usr/local/include/

3. Compiled "Cyrus-imapd-2.2.12" with following configuration options:

   ./configure --build=powerpc-osx --with-dbdir=/usr/local/ --with-
   sasl=/usr/local --with-openssl=/usr

4. Start "/usr/cyrus/bin/master" and now it is listening on port "imap" and
   "pop"
5. When I run "/usr/local/sbin/saslauthd" following error occurs
   "no authentication mechanism specified"
Which authentication mechanism I should specify with saslauthd's -a
option, I have tried with "/usr/local/sbin/saslauthd -a pam". It says
set_auth_mech : unknown authentication mechanism: pam

I am doing all this setting on "Apples's iBook G4" laptop on which Mac OS
X 10.4 is installed.

Please help me,

Thanks and regards,
Leena
