imap users authentication

Hi all,

I would like to authentication imap users against ldap with mail attribute.
Does anyone has any comment or working configuration ? (note: values of 
uid and mail are different)
I use SUSE Linux 9.3, openldap 2.2.23, cyrus-imap 2.2.12, cyrus-sasl 2.1.20
