Hello ballroom friends,

Welcome back from spring break!

This Wednesday, we’ll be holding a partnership workshop after lessons!
Veteran dancers will talk about some guidelines for building and
maintaining a successful partnership. We encourage everyone to come,
regardless of partnership status!

This Friday (March 17th) at 7:00 PM, we’re hosting our first dance social
of the semester in Rangos 2/3! It’ll be a fun time with lots of mixer
dances. We encourage both newcomers and veterans to come, hang out, and
dance! No need to dress up, although you’re certainly welcome to.

Jamie’s Stretching Workshop has been rescheduled for this Saturday, March 18,
in Keeler during the first hour of practice space (12:00-1:00 PM)! All
experience/flexibility levels are encouraged to come learn a modifiable
stretching routine you can use at home. Whether your goal is flat splits or
just general mobility, by the end of the workshop you’ll know how to safely
and effectively improve your flexibility.

For our third and final competition of the semester, we will be taking a
trip to the Notre Dame Irish DanceSport Gala in South Bend, IN! Car groups
will be leaving the afternoon/evening of Friday, March 31st and returning
late Saturday night, April 1st. To register, fill out both the individual
commitment form <https://forms.gle/NoGQr81Ynt11PAaHA> and the partnership
registration form <https://forms.gle/6iKZnW84keQFKDUz6> (once per
partnership) by Monday March 20th.

Scotch Ball is coming up in less than two weeks! Everyone who reserved a
ticket should have gotten an email about payment - $25 for students, $35
for non-students. Please pay by Monday, March 20th with cash, check, or
card (follow this document

Additionally if you are able to help set up (Friday and/or Saturday at
6:00pm) or clean up (after the event) please reach out to Abby (agq at cmu.edu
