[CMUBDC] Ballroom Dance Club - Week of February 6th

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello ballroom friends,

Congratulations to all dancers who traveled to Penn State this past
weekend! This week, we’re starting a new 2-week block of veteran-taught
lessons, teaching American Waltz, American Cha-Cha, and Syllabus Swing.

For those who have already attended their two free lessons for the
semester, please pay your lesson dues this week! The price is $40 for
students and $90 for non-students, and this payment covers all lessons for
the Spring semester (note: dues are not required for the 9:30 social
dancing lessons). We accept cash, check (payable to Carnegie Mellon
University), or payment via CashNet (see the attachment for instructions).

The Carnegie Classic <http://carnegieclassic.com> competition held at CMU
is coming up during the weekend of February 17-19!

   The deadline for the partnership registration form

   has been extended to Monday, February 13. We strongly encourage all
   members (regardless of experience level) to sign up to compete!

   To help our new members to prepare for the competition, we are
holding a newcomer
   bootcamp on Sunday, February 12 from 1:00-5:00 PM in Studio Theater!
   There will be lessons going over all of the different dances in all four
   styles you can compete in.

   We really need volunteers to host competitors from other colleges for a
   night or two during the weekend of the competition. If you’re able to house
   anyone during the weekend of the competition, please fill out this form

   To advertise for the competition, we are planning to paint the fence at
   CMU this Friday, February 10. Please fill out this form

Scotch Ball, our annual formal dance social, will be on March 25 this year!
It’ll be a fun night of socializing, dancing, and refreshments, including a
mini bachata lesson. To sign up to volunteer or to reserve tickets, please
