[CMUBDC] Ballroom Dance Club - Week of November 14th

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello ballroom friends,

Good luck to everyone competing at Ohio Star Ball this upcoming weekend!
Competitors should be receiving a separate email with details about the
schedule and travel/housing. If you are competing and do not yet have a
team jacket, please see Brenna on Monday.

We’re also starting our final block of veteran-taught lessons for the
semester this week. On Monday, we’ll have the first lesson on Viennese Waltz
!

In addition, because of the upcoming competition, we will not have our
normal schedule on Wednesday.

   -

   First, Ikaika Dowsett
   <https://ballroom.berkeley.edu/about-us/teaching-team> (visiting
   Standard instructor from UC Berkeley) will be offering small group and
   private lessons. There is one slot left available to sign up for a group
   lesson in the google sheet

   Additionally, at 6:30, he’ll be holding a Q&A session that’s open to
   everyone!

   Then, at 8:30, Sasha will be holding a competition prep session going
   over whatever is needed to prepare for OSB.
   -

   Finally, at 9:00, Christine will be running rounds (in all 4 styles) with
   feedback for the competition.


On Friday, November 25, we will be having a ballroom Friendsgiving party!
Plan to bring some food, and meet at Brenna’s place- Roselawn Houses,
number 8. Info about time will be forthcoming.

On Friday, December 9, we will be having a holiday gift exchange and
potluck from
6-8 PM in UC Connan. If you want to participate and/or bring food, please
