[CMUBDC] Ballroom Lessons - Week of 1/27

Hello Ballroom friends,

Most importantly, our semester lessons start* today*!!!!! If you would like
to take lessons with the CMU Ballroom Dance Club, please fill out this
form: cmubdc.org/join.

We will take *payments* for the lessons starting on the first day of
lessons, *Today, January 27, 2020.* We accept either cash or check. Please
make the check out to *Carnegie Mellon University*. The pricing is on the
form, but I am repeating it below for clarity. Please let me know if you
have any questions:

*Students* - $35 for Beginner Lessons (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM); $30 for
Intermediate/Gold Lessons

*Non-Students* - $80 for Beginner Lessons (7:30 PM - 9:30 PM); $75 for
Intermediate/Gold Lessons

*Salsa/Bachata* - $20 for one, $30 for both (9:30 PM - 10:15 PM)

On another note, the* calendars* have been* updated* with this semesters
lessons. Be sure to *check *to make sure you have them in your calendars!

We also have* TWO socials* coming up!

The first social is the first *CMU BDC Social of the Spring semester* and
2020 year! The theme is *Valentine's Day.* This will occur on *February 1*,
in the *Rangos Ballroom* of the CUC starting at *7:00 PM*. Please note that
we have *changed the pricing* for our socials. Please see the Upcoming Events
section for more details.

The second social is a *USA Dance social* on *February 15* starting at *7PM*
at the *Wightman School* in Squirrel Hill; they will be* fundraising* for our
club, so please go to show your support!

*Pricing:*

**Beginner dancers*: We recommend you attend both the professionally taught
newcomer lessons and the student taught beginner lessons. This membership
only costs a *flat $35 for students*, covering the entire semester! For
non-students, this fee is $80.

Upcoming Events and Announcements
*Adam's Professional-Taught Beginner Salsa and Bachata Lessons*

Adam's classes will start 1/27 at 9:30PM. *These are great lessons for
beginners to take!* For pricing and more information, please see our
website: cmubdc.org* Please note that we have switched the days Salsa and
Bachata are being taught on.* Mondays for Salsa, and Wednesdays for Bachata.

*Newcomer Bootcamp* (Sat 2/1, Sun 2/2: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM, UC - Activities
Room):

New members, you’ll learn more about the dances you saw/learned at rush, as
well as some new dances! Don’t worry if you missed a few days of rush,
we’ll get you caught up! On Saturday we’ll focus on the standard dances
(waltz, tango, and quickstep), and on Sunday we’ll do the latin dances
(rumba, cha cha, and jive).

*Valentines Day Social *(Saturday, February 1, 2020: 7:00 PM, UC - Rangos)

CMU Ballroom Presents the Spring Social Series: *VALENTINE'S DAY SOCIAL!!*
Whether you have found THE ONE or you're single af, it's time to dance!
Join us in* CUC Rangos on February 1st* for an unforgettable night of
dancing and fun. Hope to see you there!

*Pricing:* *$10* per person, *-$5* for members, *-$5* for students,* Free
for CMU Students *with ID. (Yes, there is math involved. It's okay, I
believe in you!)

*USA Dance Social* (Saturday, February 15, 2020: 7:00 PM, Wightman School)

They will be holding a fundraiser for our club, so please go to show your
support! There will also be an America Rumba lessons too!
