[CMUBDC] Fall Lessons and Events Update

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hi Ballroom friends~

This will be a long email, but please read it carefully. Below are some new
initiatives and plans for the upcoming semester:

Lessons
We will still be having lessons during the Fall, but they will be virtual.
The lessons will be 45 minutes long, and they will be professionally
taught. As during the normal semester, Mondays will be International
Standard (+Intermediate Bachata), and Wednesdays will be Latin
(+Intermediate Salsa). Here is the planned lessons schedule:

6:15 PM - Gold/Intermediate 3

7:15 PM - Intermediate 2/1

8:15 PM - (Professionally Taught) Beginner

9:30 PM - Intermediate Bachata / Intermediate Salsa


Lessons will be conducted over Zoom, and Zoom links will be sent out over
email the week of. Expectations for those attending lessons will be
included in those emails, but something to keep in mind is that if you sign
up for lessons, you are expected to show up. Finally, all lessons will be
*free*, so please sign up!

Please sign up ASAP but latest by *August 30th*, so that you can attend the
first week of lessons. Standard/Latin lessons will start the week of August
31st, and Bachata/Salsa will start a week later during the week of
September 7th.

Events
Besides lessons, we have a lot of cool events in the making!

Ballroom is now on Discord!! Come hang out with us, make friends, and
create a ballroom community across the ages (Alumni are also encouraged to

Many smaller virtual hangout events are in the planning, and I'll send out
more information once details have been determined. If there's any event
you really want to happen, respond to this email.

Finally, we are in the works of planning a Big/Little system where we match
people together and make friends!
