[CMUBDC] Ballroom Lessons - Week of 10/14

Hello Ballroom friends,

*VE Dance* is coming to us on October 14, 2019 @ 7:00PM which is *TODAY*.

The *China Shoe order* is not happening because the website went *MIA*, but
here are some resources that have soon good ballroom stuff if you are

If you're interested in being more involved in the club or want to help
with something specific, we encourage you to sign up for a* committee* this
semester! Committees are a *one-semester commitment*, and *both students
and non-students *are eligible to apply. We'll be *closing the form on

We're ordering *jackets!* If you're looking to really rep CMU Ballroom (or
you just want a new jacket), please sign up for a jacket here. Don't

Mock Comp and Keystone are coming up soon, but we have another comp the

*Dress Code Reminder*: out of respect for our instructors, we ask that you
please wear the appropriate clothing. This consists of easy to move in
clothing for beginners, and proper dance attire for veterans. If you have
any questions regarding this, please do hesitate to ask us!

are great for you! Salsa/Bachata are also great for beginner lessons. All

Upcoming Events and Announcements:
*Committees*:

CMU BDC has the Board which is the main governing body of the club, but we
also have *committes*. If you would like to find out more about* how the
club is run*, and *contribute*, please come talk to any of the board
members for more information. *Everyone is welcome* to join committees
regardless of year or CMU affiliation. A sigh-up form will be coming out
very soon.

*VE Dance Vending* (Monday, October 14: 7:00PM, UC - Rangos)

Many of you know that it's very difficult to find* dance shoes* in
Pittsburgh, so we organize VE Dance to come to us. They will help you find
the right *dance shoe* for you, so please come check out some new *dance
shoes*!

*Mock Comp* (Sunday, October 20)

This is a *mock competition* that CMU BDC hosts *at CMU* as preparation for
the competition season. It is completely* free*, and a fun way to dance and
see what a competition may be like. *Registration is now closed*. A more
detailed schedule will be released soon.

*Halloween Social* (Friday, November 1: 7:00PM - 11:00PM, UC - Rangos):

BOO!!!!! Dress up for a night of dancing with the CMU Ballroom Dance Club.
We hope to see some witches waltzing across the floor and a cheerleader
doing the cha cha! Join us in Rangos on Friday November 1st for a spooky
night of dance!!
*Pricing: Free for students with a valid student ID; $5 for non-students*
