[CMUBDC] Ballroom Lessons - Week of 10/7

Hello Ballroom friends,

Happy October! We have lots of events coming up, so please check them out.

Our social chair, Matias, is holding a* pow-wow* this Wednesday, October
9th. This is an *open and safe space* to share your ideas about how the
club is run.* Newcomers* will have theirs at *9:30PM* after beginner
lessons.* Veterans* will have theirs after early rounds at* 7:30pm*.* Other
Club members*, please feel free join us at either time.

*Mock Comp* is coming up in* 2 weeks*! This is a *mock competition* that
CMU BDC hosts *at CMU* as preparation for the competition season. It is
completely* free*, and a fun way to dance and see what a competition may be

Some of you may know that CMU BDC has *committees*! If you are interested
in learning more about how the *club is run*, and would like to *contribute*,
please come talk to one of the board members! We would be glad to let you
know what is going on.

*For those part of the mentor-mentee matching*: We're mixing up
mentor-mentees and partners again this week. If you: A. haven't heard from
your partner / mentee / mentor from last week, please reach out and let me
know! B. If you're matched with the same mentor / mentee as last time, let
me know, and we can switch things up. Try and meet with your partner before

*VE Dance* is coming to us on October 14, 2019 @ 7:00PM.

*Dress Code Reminder*: out of respect for our instructors, we ask that you
please wear the appropriate clothing. This consists of easy to move in
clothing for beginners, and proper dance attire for veterans. If you have
any questions regarding this, please do hesitate to ask us!

* Beginner dancers, if you are joining us for the first time, these lessons
are great for you! Salsa/Bachata are also great for beginner lessons. All

regardless of year or CMU affiliation. A sigh-up form will be coming out
very soon.

*VE Dance Vending* (Monday, October 14: 7:00PM, UC - Rangos)

Many of you know that it's very difficult to find* dance shoes* in
Pittsburgh, so we organize VE Dance to come to us. They will help you find
the right *dance shoe* for you, so please come check out some new *dance
shoes*!

the competition season. It is completely* free*, and a fun way to dance and
