[CMUBDC] Important Announcement

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hi Ballroom friends,

In the light of some recent event, the CMU BDC Board has felt to need to
reiterate a few points to the members of our dancing community. This
announcement is very important, in regards to *individual behavior within
our community*, so please *read through* very *carefully* and *completely*
please.

Due to violations of CMU community policy, the board has recently voted by
a supermajority to permanently bar a club member from our activities. We
would like to reiterate a few ground rules regarding behavior within the
organization.

1.      *Physical violence or provocation* is not tolerated at any events,
whether on campus or off campus.
2.      *Communicate and respect* each other's boundaries.
3.      *Partnerships* are formed based on *mutual understanding and
respect* by both parties, and are dissolved if either party no longer
wishes to participate.
4.      Partnerships *do not imply anything outside of a working
relationship *for the competitions both partners have agreed to.
5.      *Dance partners are dance partners*. Partnering with the intent to
pursue other types of relationships is *highly discouraged*.


Actions that violate these rules may result in *suspension or permanent ban*
of CMUBDC membership, and/or escalation to SLICE/student government. Our
club mission is to provide a *welcoming community* for ballroom dance in
Pittsburgh and at CMU.
