Hi everyone!


*Maja Servé *(finalist at major world championships with partner Glenn
Weiss, and Christine's former coach) will be teaching classes, privates,
and semi-privates at CMU this spring! The workshop will be *Sunday,
February 10th, 2019* and will take place in *CUC Rangos 1/2/3* at Carnegie
Mellon University.

Starting this week, we will start our weekly lessons/ practices. This email
has *important information* including *how to join the club/pay your fees, **a
general overview of the lessons,* etc.

In addition, we have many events prepared for you: *competition prep
nights, social, and newcomer bootcamp;* *Standard workshop with Maja Servé
(world and blackpool professional standard finalist)!*

2. Pay your membership fee & get your membership card at the door during
lessons (starting the week of Jan 28th).
*Pricing: *

For students, newcomer+beginner lessons cost a flat $35 for the entire
semester.
For non-students, newcomer+beginner lessons cost a flat $55 for the entire
semester.

Cash or check at the door.
We accept credit cards!! *(*there will be a small processing fee of $3 for
those that wish to pay this way)*


*Competition Team*

Are you interested in practicing your dance skills?  How about hanging out
with friends on weekend road trips to neighboring cities for competitions?
Our competition team might be right for you!! We practice from 12:30-3:30
PM on Saturdays and Sundays in the UC Activities Room.  We also have fun
social events like apple picking and board game parties. All experience
levels are welcome, especially beginners (no experience necessary).  Email

*Competition Prep Night (Feb 1, @6:00PM UC Studio Theater)*

This event is perfect for someone that is competing for the first time, we
will provide information on everything you need to know about preparing for
the comps. Come join us and benefit from this amazing opportunity.

*Ballroom Social (Feb 2, @7:00PM - 11:00PM UC Rangos 1/2/3)*

We have our first social of the year! We'll have awesome music, snacks and
refreshments. This event is open to the public and free for all, so bring
your friends and come dance the night away!


*Newcomer Boot Camp (Feb 2 , Feb 3 @ 12:30PM - 3:30PM. UC Activities Room)*

New members, this one is for you!! You’ll learn more about the dances you
saw/learned at rush, as well as some new dances! Don’t worry if you missed
a few days of rush, we’ll get you caught up! On Saturday we’ll focus on
standard dances, and on Sunday we’ll do the Latin dances.


S*tandard Workshop with **Maja Servé** (Feb 10, @8:00AM -  7:30PM, UC
Rangos 1/2/3)*

Maja Servé, World and Blackpool Professional Standard Finalist and USA
Dance National trainer, will be coaching CMU ballroom Feb10th. Private,
semi-private and group lessons are available.* Save the date and stay tuned
