[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello new and returning members of CMU ballroom!

Thank you for your interest in the ballroom dance club this semester! It
was great to see so many new faces at rush, and shout out to all the
veteran members that came and supported the events!


Now that we have officially kicked off the new semester, there are *some
more events* we have planned for you *this weekend* to help you get to know
us better!

In addition, I have also included the information on* joining the
club* and *beginners
lessons schedule* for those of you that are interested.

*Comp Team Meet and Greet (Sat 1/26 @11:30AM - 12:30PM, UC-Danforth Lounge)*

Are you interested in practicing your dance skills?  How about hanging out
with friends on weekend road trips to neighboring cities for competitions?
Our competition team might be right for you!! We practice from 12:30-3:30
PM on Saturdays and Sundays in the UC Activities Room.  We also have fun
social events like apple picking and board game parties.

Come and learn more about us! Coming to meet and greet doesn’t mean you
have to commit to the comp team, and joining doesn’t require an audition,
partner, or even dance experience!


*Newcomer Boot Camp **(Sat 1/26, Sun 1/27 @12:30PM - 3:30PM, UC-Activities
Room)*

New members, you’ll learn more about the dances you saw/learned at rush, as
well as some new dances! Don’t worry if you missed a few days of rush,
we’ll get you caught up! On Saturday we’ll focus on the standard dances
(waltz, tango, and quickstep), and on Sunday we’ll do the latin dances
(rumba, cha cha, and jive).

2. Pay your membership fee & get your membership card at the door during
lessons (starting the week of Jan 28th).
*Pricing: *

For students, newcomer+beginner lessons cost a flat $35 for the entire
semester.
For non-students, newcomer+beginner lessons cost a flat $55 for the entire
semester.

*Payment methods:*

Cash or check at the door.
We now accept credit cards!! *(*there will be a small processing fee of $3
for those that wish to pay this way)*
