We will be moving on to our second group of beginner lessons this week!

The CMUBDC Officer Application Form for next year is out! See below for

Scotch Ball tickets are no longer reserved for just CMUBDC members. If you
are interested and have not reserved your tickets, see below to reserve
them before they are gone!

and Beginner Lessons are both perfect for you!

Pricing:
Beginner dancers: We recommend you attend both the professionally taught
newcomer lessons and the student taught beginner lessons. This membership
only costs a flat $35 for students, covering the entire semester! For
non-students and other classes, check our website for full information

*Elections will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 9:30 pm in McConomy
Auditorium. All membership card holders are eligible to attend the
elections and/or cast their vote. All membership card holders who are CMU
students are eligible to run for office. Officers are responsible for
deciding on all aspects of club function including but not limited to
lessons offered, instructors hired, fees charged, events organized, and
competitions participated in. The newly elected officers will be "in
training" during the remainder of the spring semester.*

*Scotch Ball* (Fri., Apr. 6 @ 8 PM - Phipps Conservatory and Botanical
Gardens)

We invite all of CMU's undergrads, graduate students, faculty, and alumni,
as well as CMUBDC members and friends, to join us for this one-of-a-kind
formal event, Scotch Ball! Wear your best gowns and suits for an evening of
live jazz music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres, performances, and a chance to
explore Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Free dance lessons will
be provided in weeks prior to the event. If you have any questions or
concerns, feel free to email Daphne Lee at daphnel at andrew.cmu.edu or send
her a message on Facebook. Tickets are $22 for club members and groups of

Deadline to reserve tickets is 2/23 at 11:59 pm for club members. Deadline
to reserve tickets is 3/2 at 11:59 pm for community members.




*Competition Team*
Are you interested in practicing your dance skills? How about hanging out
with friends on weekend road trips to neighboring cities for competitions?
Our competition team might be right for you! We practice from 12:30-3:30 PM on
Saturdays and Sundays in the UC Activities Room. We also have fun social
events like apple picking and board game parties. All experience levels are
welcome, *especially beginners (no experience necessary)*. Email Elliott
Toy (etoy at andrew.cmu.edu) for more details!
