[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hi Everyone!

Welcome new members to the Ballroom Dance Club! I look forward to seeing
everyone this semester. We've got lots of exciting dances for you to learn!

Don't forget, if you are interesting in joining competition team, or just
checking it out,* come to UC Danforth at **12:30pm this Saturday** to meet
the newcomers this semester!* There will be free leftover rush food as an
incentive for you all to be there!

Afterwards, there will be latin lessons for you the UC activities room from
1:30-3:00pm to get you up to speed in the latin dances. Billy will be
teaching the rumba lesson, Stephen and I will teach the chacha lesson, and
Laura and Ajay will teach you jive.

*You don't need prior dance experience.* There are only a few people on our
team with previous experience. Everyone else started out with two left
feet. (Remember, it's free, experience, practice time, and competitions are
not required, it's a learn at your own pace, and there are no cuts.)

Lessons next week begin at 8 pm with Merengue and 8:45 pm with Tango. Each
lesson is $3, or $5 for both. The Beginner club lessons for the semester
are $30 for students ($40 for non-students). (This amounts to about $1 a
lesson.)

The newcomer professional lesson (a lesson for beginners taught by a
professional focusing more on technique not only moves) begins at 7:30 pm,
both Monday and Wednesday. This is by itself, $10 for students and $20 for
non students for the semester.

*But if you take the beginner package *(beginner lessons with the newcomer
professional lesson)*, it is only $35 for the whole semester for students
and $50 for non students.*

Bachata / Salsa lessons are separate. Bachata is 9:15 pm on Monday and
Salsa is 9:15 pm on Wednesday. (These are taught by Adam, a professional.)
They are $4 a night and $20 for the semester, for both students and non
students.
