3. Order Form for Shoes!
You may have noticed that our team members and even many club members have
dance shoes. Now is your chance to get your own pair for the semester. We
are ordering shoes at the end of this week so please fill out the form
ASAP. Because the orders take one month to arrive, *THIS FORM WILL CLOSE on
Friday, Feb 5, 11:59 PM.*
Order form: https://docs.google.com/a/andrew.cmu.edu/forms/d/1WtUFuxV7jAwE36-HozJocfaqgkN3So7_4FQhJIfznqg/viewform
You don't have to get dance shoes to dance of course (unless you are on
competition team and are going to compete this semester). Proper shoes do
make it easier to dance. There are lain shoes, standard shoes, and practice
shoes. If you are only getting one pair (recommended if you aren't sure how
long you will keep dancing), men order standard shoes and ladies order
latin shoes, as these are the shoes that will make it easiest to dance both
styles. (For men, dancing standard in latin shoes is really difficult and
for ladies, dancing latin in standard shoes is properly is kind of
impossible. But dancing latin in standard shoes for men and standard in
latin shoes for ladies is pretty easy.)
4. Competition Team on the Weekends
Shout out to everyone who joined the competition team practices this
weekend! We are all sure excited to have you for this semester. If you are
interested in joining competition team, we will have more lessons geared
towards newcomers/beginners this weekend. No prior experience or a partner
required! The number of hours for practice and the competitions you go to
are up to you!
We meet in CUC Activities Room, 1:30 pm on Saturday and 12:30 pm on Sunday.
For more information or to be added to the competition team emailing list,
stop by the desk tonight or send me an email.
Hope to see you tonight! Again, No Lessons Next Week 2/8 and 2/10!
