Dear members,
The time has come for us to elect the executive board for the 2013-2014 school year. The newly elected officers will be "in training" during the remainder of the spring semester, and will officially take on their new position on May 20, 2013.
Elections will take place on Monday, March 4, at 9:00 PM in McConomy auditorium (first floor of the UC). All membership card holders are eligible to run for office, attend the elections, and/or cast their vote. Officers are responsible for deciding on all aspects of club function including but not limited to lessons offered, instructors hired, fees charged, events organized, and competitions participated in. Come to elections and cast your vote for the individuals you think would be the most qualified to make these decisions to benefit all of you! You can see the attached document for the election process that will be followed.
If you want to apply for an officer position, applications will be accepted until Monday, March 4, at 12:00 PM (noon). Please see the attached document for available positions, the applications requirements, and the election process. Being a CMUBDC member is the only prerequisite for applying to be an officer. Your other qualifications will be evaluated during the election.
We are also looking for designers and website pros!
Throughout the semester we need to have advertising materials created, website
updated and redesigned, and other tasks that require specific artistic skills. These will not
be officer positions, but you will be contacted once in a while with assignments.
If you are interested, please send a portfolio (or just some samples of your
work) to ballroom at andrew.cmu.edu with the subject “Designer [or Webmaster]
interest.”
If you have any questions about the positions, the process, or anything else, please email ballroom at andrew.cmu.edu or speak with our officers during lessons.
Looking forward to this exciting event!
-Tetyana
