Sup ballroom people!
We are considering our club's participation in two upcoming charity events
(both of which are fun).
The first is the Relay for Life on October 14 to 15th, where our members
will go support the organization's event on the cut by doing volunteer
work to raise money and the comp team will have a short routine. The full
event is from 6pm to 6am but its up to you whether you wish to stay the
whole time:
Everyone's reason to Relay is as unique as their own personal story. At
Relay, you can find healing, comfort, and support from others who have
faced cancer or who have lost a loved one to the disease. You have a
chance to meet people in the community who are equally as passionate about
finding an end to cancer in our lifetime.
No matter why you take part in Relay, however, one thing is clear: with
every step you take, you are helping the American Cancer Society save
lives. With your help, we arent just fighting one type of cancer were
fighting for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community.
Each person who shares the Relay experience can take pride in knowing that
they are working to create a world where this disease will no longer
threaten the lives of our loved ones or claim another year of anyones
life.

The second is Carnegie Mellon Dance Marathon in a TBA date in January,
where our members get to dance from 8pm to 2am in contests, games, and
just for fun with the other dance groups of CMU:
Dance Marathon has a lofty but attainable goal of raising $25,000 for the
Hero Program to support terminally ill children and their families.
Register today and see just how easy it is to help us reach that goal! The
easiest and best way to get involved with Carnegie Mellon Dance Marathon
is to participate in the event itself. Each dancer will bring us one step
closer to achieving our goals and making the lives of low-income families
with terminally ill children a little bit better.

In order for us to see who is interested, please fill out this doodle poll:
http://www.doodle.com/x5de45zru844cggt by next week. The Relay for Life is
not too far away so we need to know who is participating as soon as
possible so we can set up a volunteer team.
Thanks a lot guys and happy dancing!
Peace,
Mark
