Hello, dancers!

If you are looking for more dance opportunities, you should consider Dancers' Symposium (DS). It is a dance show put on at the end of every semester, fully choreographed and performed by students, and includes all styles of dance from ballet to hip-hop. There are a few ways you can get involved:

1) If you are a CMU student, you can audition to be in a dance within the show on Friday, September 10, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

2) You can choreograph a dance either by yourself or with a friend if one of you has been in at least one semester of DS before. You do not need to have a dance ready right away, but do fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dE5Qb2NpYl8tY2lYQ3gybU5ERDRvamc6MQ and attend the choreographer meeting on September 5.

3) The Ballroom Dance Club also usually does a performance as an outside dance organization. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A CMU STUDENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS! If you would like to choreograph something for us to perform, or want to be in our dance if we do one, please let me know!

This is a really fun experience, you get to meet a lot of new people, learn some cool moves, and perform for two nights in front of a huge crowd! I have been in DS for 3 semesters (both with ballroom and other dances) and loved it, so feel free to ask me if you have any questions!

Thanks,
Tetyana
