Lessons, SILVER TRYOUTS, Comp Demo, and Late night!

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hello Dancers!

There are many events coming up this week, so please read through!
As usual, we will be having our Silver, Fundamental, and Bronze lessons
Wednesday (1-27-10) night, but since it is our last lesson of this set, we
will be having SILVER TRYOUTS for Silver Foxtrot (since we just finished
Bronze Foxtrot) which starts next week--Tryouts will take place right
after the Bronze Foxtrot lesson and will test dancers on their application
of the steps taught in the bronze class. Partners will be provided for
those who have none--if you have any questions, please ask any officers or
e-mail Taa, our Competition Team Coordinator at chirunch at andrew.cmu.edu.

7-8 PM Fundamental Rumba
SPECIAL: Competition Team demo!
8-9 PM: Bronze Foxtrot
9-end: Silver Foxtrot tryout
All in Rangos hall-

I encourage everyone who has been consistently attending the bronze
foxtrot class to tryout! You will simply have to perform what you learned
in class to gain admittance into the silver class (starting next week)
where you will learn even more advanced figures.

COMP TEAM DEMO: We will also be doing a quick demo of our competition team
between classes: if you're having lots of fun doing ballroom and want to
get even better, join the CMU Ballroom Dance Team!! You will get a chance
to meet a lot of people and travel to various schools to attend their
competitons. If you miss today, we will be doing a demo during the social
class on Monday, Feb 1st as well.

LASTLY, the Ballroom Dance Club is hosting a UC Late Night event on
Saturday, 1-30-10, featuring a professional HUSTLE lesson with Jim
Page--the event will be in Rangos, with lots of food, fun and dancing!
Feel free to invite your friends to this FREE event to let them get a
taste of ballroom~
