Last call for new officers!

[CMU Ballroom Dance Club]

Hi dancers!
We're still looking for new officers, so if you're interested in helping out, please let us know! We plan lots of fun events for the club, have ballroom parties together, and officers are also exempt from lesson fees. 

The following positions are available; the ones with *s by them have no one running for them as of now:

President
 Manages general club business, ensures all officers are doing their job, 
 general contact point person for the club

Vice President*
 Aids president in managing general club business, second point person as 
 contact for club

Secretary
 mainly takes care of our mailing lists, meeting notes and general club  
 documentation

Treasurer
 handles all of our finances and timecards for instructors

Event Coordinator*
 works with the Student Activities Office and USA Dance to coordinate our   
 late nights and dance socials

Competition Team Coordinator
 coordinates which competitions the team will be going to, organizes extra
 practice times, signs up people for competitions

Lesson Coordinator
 helps to schedule instructors and make sure there are club officers at 
 every lesson and practice

Scotch Ball Coordinator 
 handle planning of our Scotch Ball competition in the fall, working with  
 various university offices and getting funding

Formation Team Coordinator*
 choreograph dances for performances (DS) and competitions

Publicity*(multiple positions available) 
 Creates posters and other advertisements for club events, coordinates 
 postering, chalking, special publicity events, public relations with other 
 clubs

Webmaster*
 maintains and updates our website (www.cmubdc.org)

Music Coordinator
 organizes all of our music and categorizes it


If there's something else you're interested in doing, just let me know; we can always make a position for you. Let me know if you have any questions or decide on a position. If you're interested in a position, please email ballroom at andrew.cmu.edu and let us know before midnight on Thursday, April 16th. Results will be announced by the end of the week.
