Hi dancers,

CHOOSING LESSONS: If you've been in the Beginner lessons during the last
semester, then I highly recommend taking the Intermediate (and possibly
Beginner or Advanced as well if you want more practice) lessons this
semester. We'll assume you remember much of what you learned last
semester and will focus on improving technique and learning a few new steps.

THE FIRST INTERMEDIATE lesson will be tomorrow (Monday, Jan. 14), and
we'll be starting a 3-lesson Foxtrot series! Stephen and Alice will be
teaching 8:30-10pm in Rangos 3.

This semester, we're going to need to charge slightly more ($5) for our
lessons. We haven't increased our rates in a long time and still charge
much less than most college clubs (whose rates average between
$50-$100). So, for this semester's membership, it'll be $25 for CMU
students, $30 for non-CMU students, $40 for CMU staff/faculty/alumni,
and $45 for others. Membership lets you take any or all Beginner &
Intermediate lessons, and $10 more lets you take Advanced as well. (As
always, the partner of a CMU student can pay the CMU student rate. You
can pay at either the first or second lesson you attend with cash or a
check to "Carnegie Mellon University.")

See you tomorrow (or the next lesson you come to)!
