Important Ballroom Announcements

Hi everybody!

I have a few important announcements to make regarding the club:

- elections
- Spring Ball meeting
- new dance space?

Please read below for more details.


#1: Elections

This is an exciting time for the CMUBDC: tonight during lessons we'll be 
having signups for officer nominations for next year's club leaders!  If 
you are passionate about your hobby and are looking for more ways to become
involved with the club's future direction, here's your chance...

All of the current officer positions will be vacant after this year.  If 
you know of someone, including yourself, who would make a great officer, 
just show up at lessons tonight (or email the club at 
ballroom at andrew.cmu.edu) and nominate them!  (No obligation if you're 
nominated - feel free to decline.)  There are also several appointed 
positions available, so please let us know if you may be interested in 
those.

Officer elections will take place next week, April 5th.  Elections are open 
to all fully paid members, and positions are open to all members who are 
CMU students, grad or undergrad.  If you have any questions about those 
positions, feel free to contact the person currently holding the position.

Available elected positions are:

#2: Spring Ball meeting

Spring Ball is currently upon us with less than a month to go until April
28th.  Being the second time we are holding the event, we would like to
build upon the success we had last year and make it even better, but we
need your help in getting things set up, from decorations to publicity to 
tickets and other logistics.

There will be an organizational meeting TODAY at 4:30pm in UC 318 to get 
started in planning the event.  If you are interested in helping out, just 
show up, or please email us if you can't make it (ballroom at andrew.cmu.edu), 
and we will add you to our volunteer list.  Thanks!!!


#5: New dance space?

The Office of Student Affairs with Athletics is currently hosting a survey 
on University Health and Wellness.  The point of the survey is to get 
feedback on what is needed with respect to athletic, health, and wellness 
facilities on campus.  If you have an interest in having a say (or want to 
encourage more dance facilities on campus, wink, wink, nudge, nudge),
