Hi,

Alice 2.6 is lagging badly on our computers. When we click on objects to position them in a world, there is a considerable delay between when we click on an object and when it comes into focus. Also, when we run our worlds that have the arrows control the camera, moving backwards works fine, but moving forward lags so much that we cannot view the worlds in a meaningful way.

What can we do to help correct this?

The school has monthly Windows 11 "cumulative updates." January's will probably happen next week. When I run Alice 2.5, there's no delay. Is that version still downloadable somewhere?

There are known issues on 2.5 including incompatibility with more recent
MacOS. Here is the last available 2.5 build on Github:
