Hi,
   I am not sure if this would be a solution for Chromebooks, but the summer of 2016, I attended the Alice workshop at Duke University and the CS department introduced a virtual server for schools to access Alice and compile their programs online. I believe you request a code and then have access. We use the desktop version at our school because we are PC, but the virtual machine worked when we tried it at the workshop.
