alice-teacher Importing Objects

Hi,
My understanding is that I would not be able to import 3D objects into
Alice 3.1.93, but I would be
able to import 2D objects. So, please send me instructions on how to import
objects and a URL if there is a website that provides such objects. What
file format does the object have to be in, (for example would a .png file
format work?)

If I import the object into the Resource Manager, how would I put it into
the Gallery, so I would use it
in the world?
