alice-teacher Importing a part of object, unable to move in world

Pat,
For Alice 2, choose make billboard from the File menu… You will then be able to import your jpg as part of the billboard object…

There are billboards in Alice 3 as well. Go to the Alice 3 Gallery, the Shapes tab, and selective billboard object, and there you will be able to import the image.
