I had to work with our IT folk to get Alice installed, because none of the distributed install packages could be automated properly. In the end I convinced them to place a copy of the uncompressed zip file on individual machines.

So the problems almost always involve the use of Sims characters. Many of the machines will display the Sim avatars with a filled, black solid where a face should be - others have normal faces, and still others display misshapened face images. I've also seen computers that exit Alice completely with no bug report screen by merely trying to add a Sim character to a scene.
