The release of Alice 2 for use during Fall 2014 is now available at the Alice website.

and note the following significant changes in Alice 2.4.2.

	• We have implemented a Software Update option which should should allow you to update Alice 2, without having to do a complete download and re-installation of the latest versions of the software. It is possible to update Alice 2 from within the Help: Software Update menu of the Alice software.

	• Due to the increasing size of the Alice 2 Gallery, Alice 2 is now distributed with a Core Gallery. It is possible to download and install a complete English language version of the Gallery from within the Help: Software Update menu of the Alice software.

	• There is a complete Spanish language option in Alice 2, including a Spanish language gallery.The option to displayAlice in Spanish can be found under the Alice Edit menu,Preferences. It is recommended that you download and install a complete Spanish language version of the Gallery from within the Help: Software Update menu of the Alice software at the same time.



Note to Linux users: Alice is a 32-bit application, and requires the 32-bit Java libraries to run on Linux machines. More detailed instructions to follow. In the meantime contact Alice Support with your questions.
