You might look at the following link for information on the only text using Alice 3 that I am aware of. Note that the sty;e and purpose of the book is to teach Java, and so there will be a lot of back and forth between Alice 3 examples and Java. 

This book was written by Tebring Daly and Eilleen Wrigley, community college instructors who partnered with us on a grant.
