alice-teacher Variables (and returned parameters) not working properly

In Windows (Windows 7) with Alice 2.3.5, if you create a world variable of
type COLOR, it creates it as a string. Very easy to emulate:

1. Create new world

2. Create a world variable, select TYPE COLOR

3. It shows it as type "ABC"

Same thing happens in methods, functions and for return value of functions.

Also, sometimes (if you play with things long enough) the system flips
around, and it starts creating variables of type COLOR even when you try to
create a string.
