It response to enrique's comment concerning not receiving copy of his own post…

At the moment that is indeed the default behavior, and to be honest, this is the first time that I can recall the issue has been raised… I can change that behavior globally, and I am investigating whether it is also a user-specified option.

Because this is the first time the issue has been raised, I am going to continue to leave it the default behavior, but if it turns out that this cannot be individually set, I will poll the community to get a sense if this is the preferred behavior, or whether everyone would like to receive a copy of their own posting… (I suspect many of us retrieve such postings from our sent mailbox)… NOTE: I AM NOT POLLING NOW ;-), give me a chance to investigate what is possible…

Thanks….

Below I have attached a note with some general information regarding the mailing list which may be helpful… You may fins ways to better control your interactions with the list

---

On another note, in the interest in helping all of us reduce the amount of mail we receive each day, there has been a number of "me too" types of responses... From now on, unless the community objects, I will post a general request asking that such information be made to the list on behalf of the community, instead of posting each individual "me too", unless there is an accompanying comment of interest to everyone.

As a rule of thumb, when you are posting a message for the list, consider whether it is a note for the community as a whole, or whether it is really an individual message better sent to an individual… All postings do include the source email address intentionally, to facilitate individual, off-line communication when appropriate.

Please understand that I am not trying to limit communication… I have been thrilled but he amount and quality of exchanges that have taken place this year…
