I agree. I am a home school parent and I am the new leader in our IT group for gaming. I have no access to the free material to make teaching in both environments easier. Any help for us?
Thank you,

It is obvious you are talking to "instructors" since this is an educators list, but is it possible that Home Schooling "teachers" also be included in these freebies? We can't afford the $86 Prentice Hall price.
Thanks,

Because this version of Alice 3.1 is just being released, there will probably not be a textbook out anytime soon… If something comes out this fall I would be surprised…
We will have a teacher's guide on how to use the software available for free to instructors from Prentice Hall, details forthcoming… With the release of the software there is also some getting started documentation, and we should soon have some instructors
materials developed as we taught with Alice 3.0 and 3.1 in our courses available for instructors.
Stay tuned…
Thank you,
Don Slater

Hi Don,
Do you know of any books out there or books that will be coming out about Alice 3.1?
Thanks,

Regarding the release of Alice 3.1, the first non-beta release of Alice 3:
There was one more serious bug that had to be dealt with, and we are now generating a new build, and hopefully by the end of the day, at the latest by tomorrow, we will finally release Alice 3.1.
The version that is now available at the web site is still the older beta version of Alice 3.
Thank you for your patience.
