One other suggestion would be to go to scene setup to place the aircraft on the aircraft carrier in the location and orientation you want for its ending position. Click on the "more controls" button, select the aircraft from the object tree, and then click on the "drop dummy at selected object" button.

This adds an object to the scene (which is invisible at run time), but which has the desired orientation and location.
