Thanks Marilynn!

I downloaded the latest version (8/5/2011) and it is now loading lightening fast!

I had the Sept 2010 successfully installed on my XP and Vista PC's

In Jan 2011 I got a new PC with Win 7. It would not run from the flash drive which had the sept 2010 installed on it.

A new-compiled version was released in Feb2011.

My suggestion is to DL it to the version you will be using.

>We've been having the same load issue with Alice 2.2 on Windows XP ; everything was fine in June, but since starting just yesterday we've been having long loads with the black screen. I'm wondering if it has something to do with networks? Our IS is working on it to see what can be done.

I have also started noticing this with my laptop (no changes in that environment). Has anyone else seen this, and if so, what has been done to correct?
