alice-teacher Alice 2.2 Loop Construct

When using the Loop construct in Alice there appears to be a significant
delay in program execution each time execution returns to the beginning of
the Loop. Is there a way to eliminate this?

 

Alice is installed on Windows XP machines with 2 gig of memory.
