alice-teacher conditional events

Will this work? I set up a simple world with a single jet. I first set up a dummy camera position before moving the camera to the "top" of the world, to get a birds-eye view of the jet. I ALWAYS set a dummy to the original camera position and rename it originalPosition if I plan on moving the camera.

I added the rollJet method and then the two events. It will "roll" the jet as it moves forward or spins. Hope this helps. Let me know if it isn't what you were looking for and I'll see what I can do.

Not sure this is the best way to do it, but it's what I would tell my students to do.

Make a property on the plane initialized to false.  When the key is initially pushed (begin section of while a key is pressed event) set it to true.  When they let go (end section of the same event) set it back to false.

Use that property in your keyboard event as the condition for an if.

Good morning,
I have a student that created a Alice program moving an airplane with the arrow keys using an event.  He would like to make the plane roll when the user presses the space key and the arrow key is already pressed.  We have not been able to find a way to make the event conditional.  Any suggestions?

The tutorials at http://www.cs.duke.edu/csed/alice09/tutorials.php are an excellent place to start.  They have tutorials for beginners, and once you've completed one of those, there are numerous tutorials on more advanced topics.
