Please see the below update regarding the roofing project at Penn Avenue.
It appears that the work will be continuing for a few more weeks.  For those
working on the Campus Services' administration side of the building, steps
are being taken to minimize any inconvenience to our operations.

The roof replacement project is expected to continue through the next 3
weeks. In order to minimize any effect on the building occupants as the
work proceeds, the following precautions will be taken:

1.	The roofing contractor will begin work on site until 10:00 am. From
10:00 am until 4:00 pm the work will consist of demolition, insulation and
site preparation. This work does not create any odor. Adhesive work will
not be used until after 4:00 pm.

2.	The building air handler system will be isolated @ 4:00 pm to
eliminate
the potential for adhesive odor to leak into the building air supply. The
unit will be brought back into standard operation early in the morning
before university employees arrive to work.

I will be closely monitoring the building odor as the project continues. I
will also be following up with Ryan Wolfe and Lorrie Safar on a regular
basis to ensure that the project does not impact their operations.
