[6555-penn] Penn Avenue - CPS Service

All,

 

I met with Jo Donatelli with FMS and Rege Koslof with CPS today regarding
CPS and general services at Penn Avenue.  I learned a few things about our
services and thought that it might be insightful for all.  CPS provides an
appearance based service which means that in addition to daily service
(vacuuming, emptying the trash, and cleaning public space) they also provide
additional light cleaning that may be required (dusting a desk that is clear
of papers, wiping a wall that has a mark on it, etc.)  Also, for an extra
fee you may request a deep cleaning of a common area (kitchen) that is
scheduled in advance.  In an effort to support campus recycling efforts, CPS
requests that staff members empty their personal recycle trash into their
department's central recycle container where CPS will then empty.   

 

Our regular CPS staff person is Andy Gondall.  Andy has been a long-time
employee with CPS, and is here to support our housekeeping needs.  In an
effort to better communicate, CPS is delivering a journal which will be kept
at the Campus Services Center Reception Desk (please see Tiffany).  If your
area needs special attention (coffee spilled, blinds extremely dusty, carpet
is really dirty, you finally clean off your desk and would like your
furniture dusted) you will now be able to leave a note for Andy requesting
CPS attention.

 

Regarding FMS services, there is once a year window cleaning (should be
happening any day) and regular grounds cleaning.  I hope to get a better
schedule on what our exact grounds services include.
