Computing Frontiers represents an engaged, collaborative community of<br>
researchers who are excited about transformational technologies in the<br>
field of computing.<br>

The field of computing requires new breakthroughs to adapt to the<br>
ever-changing requirements of society, especially with respect to<br>
science. Technology is on the verge of revolutions in memory devices<br>
and systems, networks, electronic device production, machine learning,<br>
data analytics, cloud computing, techniques to improve power and<br>
energy efficiency, and many more areas. New application domains that<br>
affect everyday life are constantly emerging. Boundaries between the<br>
state-of-the-art and revolutionary innovation constitute the computing<br>
frontiers that must be pushed forward to advance science, engineering,<br>
and information technology.<br>

Early research, using far-reaching projections of the future state of<br>
technologies, provides the bases that will allow revolutionary<br>
materials, devices, and systems to become mainstream. Revolutionary<br>
breakthroughs are enabled through collaborative efforts among<br>
researchers of different expertise and backgrounds.<br>

Computing Frontiers is a gathering for people to share and discuss<br>
such work, and it focuses on a wide spectrum of advanced technologies<br>
and radically new solutions relevant to the development of a spectrum<br>
of computer systems, from embedded devices to supercomputers and data<br>

Authors are invited to submit full papers, position papers, trend<br>
papers, and poster abstracts to the main conference. Papers must be<br>
submitted through the conference paper submission site. Authors will<br>
declare in advance to which category they are submitting through the<br>
submission site.<br>
<br>
Full papers are allowed up to eight (8) double-column pages in<br>
standard ACM conference format. Authors, however, will be able to buy<br>
up to two (2) extra pages at 100 Euro per page. Position and trend<br>
papers should be at least two (2) pages and not exceed four (4) pages<br>
in the same format. Poster abstracts should be at least two (2) pages<br>
and not exceed four (4) pages in the same format. These limits include<br>
figures, tables, and references. Our review process is double-blind.<br>
Thus, please remove all identifying information from the paper<br>
submission (and cite your own work in the third person). Authors<br>
of interesting work not mature enough for an oral presentation may be<br>
offered the option of presenting their work as posters.<br>
<br>
Position papers, trend papers, and posters will be published in the<br>
proceedings and in the ACM Digital Library (note that authors of these<br>
works retain their copyright rights to publish more complete versions<br>
later).<br>
<br>
The best papers from the Computer Frontiers Conference and Workshops<br>
will be invited in special issues of IJPP or PARCO.<br>
<br>
As per ACM guidelines, at least one author of an accepted paper<br>
is required to register for the conference.<br>

Data is becoming an increasingly decisive resource in modern societies,<br>
economies, and governmental organizations. Big Data is an emerging paradigm<br>
encompassing various kinds of complex and large scale information beyond<br>
the processing capability of conventional software and databases. Various<br>
technologies are being discussed to support the handling of big data such<br>
as massively parallel processing databases, scalable storage systems, cloud<br>
computing platforms, Hadoop and Spark. Due to the multisource, massive,<br>
heterogeneous, and dynamic characteristics of application data involved in<br>
a distributed environment, one of the most important characteristics of Big<br>
Data is to carry out computing on the petabyte (PB), even the exabyte<br>
(EB)-level data with a complex computing process. Therefore, large-scale<br>
scalable Big Data Infrastructure with corresponding programming language<br>
support and software models for efficient processing in distributed<br>
environments such as cloud is on demand.<br>
